I'm a Senior Visual Designer based in Nashville, TN
Foundation & Perspective
When I started as a graphic designer, I learned the importance of planning with sketches and file organization. I also learned to welcome criticism, as it is an imperative part of the iterative design process. With these experiences, I began to view each new design I approached as a problem that I simply needed to solve, albeit through sometimes complex processes.
Passing the Torch
This love of problem-solving through design led me to an interest in teaching others how fun and worthwhile it can be to solve problems when you hone and follow a process. So, I became an educator. I spent 5 years teaching kids how to problem-solve through the visual arts. Teaching gives you a unique perspective on empathy, especially within a highly diverse community. This experience greatly contributed to my ability to bridge cross-functional leadership and data analysis with
Current Focus at Meta
At Meta, I design courses and assets for Meta Blueprint, a global business education platform with over 97 million users across 15 locales. My work centers on storytelling and developing visual components to best align with Meta products and branding. I collaborate with many teams to bring these scalable solutions to life across web and mobile experiences.
Philosophy & Process
I see myself as a visual anthropologist, fighting for streamlined and accessible experiences for all, while preserving and celebrating the best of traditional methods and designs. I also love creating hypotheses only to find that there are unexpected needs to be addressed. It's like getting a surprise in a toy capsule vending machine.
